Guardians of young turkeys, nibblers of prairie flowers and pants, hearty and gentle. I'm glad I was able to steward your summer and experience all the frolics, head bumps and rump scratches. Thank you for eating everthing that came your way with a mix of gusto and finesse. Thank you for teaching me I need to up my craftsmanship and build stronger sheep structures. And thank you in advance for your wooly hides and nurturing meats. I'll miss you and honor you in the kitchen this winter.
